이라크 북쪽 최대의 기독교 도시 카라코시가 이슬람 수니파 극단주의 반군세력 IS(이슬람국가)에 넘어갔다. 인근의 남아프리카에서 기도를 요청하는 메시지가 들어왔다. IS는 기독교인들에게 개종을 요구하며 살인을 하고 있다고 밝혔다.

Urgent Prayer request

Here is an urgent prayer request for all of us!!Just a few minutes ago, I received the following text message on my phone, from Sean, We spoke briefly on the phone, and I assured him that we would share this urgent prayer need with all our contacts.

We lost the city of Queragosh. It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food to. ISIS has pushed back Kurdish Forces, and is within 10 minutes of where our team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated its staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed!!!.

Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of people of northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS and its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians in this area.

May I plead with you not to ignore this email? Do not forward it before you have prayed through it. Then send it to as many people as possible.

Send it to friends and Christians you know. Send it to your prayer group. Send it to your pastors. Any one you can think of. We need to stand in the gap for our fellow Christians.

이 도시는 우리가 음식을 밀수해 들여오는 도시이기도 했습니다. ISIS는 Pershmerga (쿠르드 군)을 몰아냈고 지금은 우리 CRI팀이 일하는 곳으로 부터 10분 떨어진 곳까지 전진해 와있는 상황입니다.

지난 밤에 수천명이 Erbil(에르빌) 시로 피난을 갔습니다. 유엔의 직원들은 이미 Erbil에서도 철수했습니다.

우리 팀은 움직이지 않고 이곳에 머물러 있을 것입니다. 기도로 덮어주세요! 너무나도 필요합니다.

마음을 다해서 이라크 북쪽의 사람들이 다시 자유롭게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

이라크의 북쪽지역은 ISIS의 끔찍한 진격을 경험하고 있고 극단적 이슬람이 자행하는 대량 개종이 아니면 대량 학살을 목도하고 있습니다.
